Get ready, Baltimore residents!
Mayor Brandon M. Scott, in collaboration with the Department of Planning and the Department of Public Works, unveiled the groundbreaking
Clean Corps Demonstration Program in January, 2023 to revamp the City's ability
to clean and maintain public spaces in historically disinvested neighborhoods.
Thanks to the generous funding, local residents will care for community-selected sites, including vacant lots, alleys, and trash receptacles. This is fantastic news for those who are passionate about making a positive impact in their neighborhoods
while earning a living wage of at least $15 per hour.
The Clean Corps Demonstration Program is set to run until January 2025, and we can't wait to see the incredible transformations that will take place under its umbrella. With the Broadway East CDC leading the charge, we're certain that Baltimore's public spaces will soon be the envy of cities nationwide.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting program. This is just the beginning of a brighter, cleaner future for Baltimore!
